Daniel (7º B)
My favourite hobbies are watching TV, playing computer games and Xbox 360. I
just love games and I like preparing tactics to win. These are some of my
hobbies but I like many others.
Diogo Moreira (7º B)
I have a few hobbies. My favourite one is horse riding. I love horses, I enjoy
being near them. If I could, I would have one but I don’t have time. I enjoy
listening to music and going out with my friends. I love riding my bicycle
because it is a good exercise. I also like watching TV.
Leandro Leite (7º B)
I like many things. I love taking photographs of flowers and the sky, like my
father. I also enjoy listening to music. My favourite pop stars are Shakira and
Nelly Furtado and my favourite bands are Black Eyed Peas and Pussycat Dolls. I
like watching channels related to music, such as MTV and related to cinema,
Lusomundo. I don’t like watching documentaries on Discovery Channel because I
think they are boring except when the documentary is about volcanoes and
earthquakes. I enjoy going to the cinema q«with my family or with my friends. I
also like reading. I prefer books about adventures because of the thrill; poetry
books because of its rhythm and its movement. Besides all the things that I’ve
mentioned, I also like playing musical instruments such as the piano and the
flute. I also like swimming and riding my bike.
Filipa Sousa (7º B)
I like playing computer games, watching TV and reading books. I also love
ganging out with my friends and staying on the beach all day long. On Sundays I
love going to the restaurant. I started a collection of bar codes three years
ago. I also love listening to music. My number one band is Linkin Park but my
mother hates listening to this kind of music. The good thing is that my father
loves it.
Alice Trindade (7º B)
I have my hobbies. In summer I like going to the beach, to the swimming pool,
playing some games with my friends in the garden and ride my bike. I like going
to the cinema and watching TV, too. I don’t collect anything because when I
start a collection I forget about it.

SCREEN VIOLENCE
In my opinion, screen violence has an effect on crime. Young people watch some
scenes on TV and they want to copy them. To sum up, some TV programmes or films
are a bad influence on young people, so they should be shown at certain hours.
Ana Carolina (8º C)
In Portugal, the mass media have a lot of power. I think that violence shouldn’t
be transmitted at any hour because violent TV programmes can influence
negatively the children (or teenagers) and their behaviour.
